Looking North for a Little Bit of Hope

News of the European debt crisis has become pervasive. Some blame their own country’s economic problems on what’s happening in Europe; others have no idea what is going on within the complex system that is the European Union. Maybe some context might help resolve some of the questions behind what is likely to become a very important issue for the second decade of the 21st century. Will this Union survive? Will it evolve beyond its present form? There are many questions but answering all of them would give us an analysis that would be far too extensive to for our present interests.
